ONLINE Broadway Master Class with Tony-Nominated Actress
Kerry Butler

On Monday, June 1, 2020, Aspire PAC welcomed back Tony Award-nominated actress Kerry Butler for a special Online Broadway Master Class!

​Most recently, Kerry portrayed Barbara in the Broadway production of Beetlejuice! Prior to that, she played THREE different roles in the smash hit Mean Girls.

This one-day Master Class focused on audition technique as students learned the key to a great audition, including developing a character and improving performance skills. All participants received one-on-one instruction and direct feedback, and we finished with a short Q&A.

Kerry Butler was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for Xanadu. She most recently portrayed Barbara in Beetlejuice and Betsy Heron, Mrs. Nobury, and Mrs. George in Mean Girls. Other Broadway credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Disaster!, Catch Me If You Can, Sherrie in Rock of Ages, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Penny Pingleton in the original cast of Hairspray, Eponine in Les Misérables, Blood Brothers, and The Best Man. On television, she has appeared on 30 Rock, The Mindy Project, Rescue Me, Law and Order, Elementary, The Mysteries of Laura, White Collar, Blue Bloods, One Life to Live, and most recently the Gilmore Girls reunion for Netflix, and the feature film The Miseducation of Cameron Post. She has an album of Disney songs entitled Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust.
